Besides competence and knowledge, a network that works well is essential for a logistician. If you quite rapidly need a solution or if you want to optimise a process, you can ask experts of your network, get ideas or help others with advices.
We build bridges between science, economy and politics. In regular meetings with the advisory council of our bachelor programme we make sure that an exchange between education and the actual needs of the logistics branch take place. During events we offer on ‘The Day of logistics’ (in April) politicians meet students and companies offering vocational trainings. In excursions to different companies and organisations our students meet logisticians in their professional context and can also network for their further career.
Think outside the box
Since study and job take place at the same time the lecturers and students can discuss the issues and challenges in practices of today’s logistics initiated by the new theories and methods they learned. The students get insights in other companies and branches and their solutions. In our Bachelor program as well as in our Master programmes.
Driving the future
Each year our academic celebration ceremony is the opportunity to invite all our partners to Ludwigshafen and to network on the MS Karlsruhe, a passenger river ship. Different speakers from politics, companies and science share their ideas about the development of current logistics topics and alumni tell about their experiences and synergy effects while studying and working at the same time.
